Lee Da-hae Unveils her Shanghai Home in YouTube Debut
On November 16th, renowned actress Lee Da-hae made her YouTube debut with a video titled “Shanghai House First Reveal (?)” on her channel “1+1=Lee Da-hae.” In this highly anticipated reveal, she offered fans an inside look at her luxurious residence in Shanghai.
During the heartwarming introduction, Lee Da-hae, cradling her pet dog, expressed her affection for her new neighborhood, stating, “This is my Shanghai house. I really love this neighborhood.” She showcased her impressive mansion, which boasts a modern and stylish interior.
In her video, Lee highlighted the neighborhood’s amenities, which include a fitness center, a hospital, a shopping mall, and even a small stream. She explained that the location is strategically close to her workplace in China, adding, “I visit China frequently, and since I was often staying in hotels, my company graciously provided this house. It’s a fantastic company.”
Having lived in the Shanghai residence for about two to three months, she mentioned, “I typically come here once or twice a month, and my visits are becoming increasingly longer. The security staff has been incredibly welcoming. They affectionately call me ‘My Girl’ Lee Da-hae, and I’m truly grateful for their warmth.”
While touring her home, Lee Da-hae shared, “Everything in this house was sponsored by the company; I didn’t buy anything,” showcasing the generous support she has received from her employer.
She gave viewers a glimpse of her tastefully decorated living space, which includes a chic kitchen, main room, guest room, as well as a dedicated makeup area.
Later in the video, she visited her workplace for a photoshoot, commenting on the abundance of products available, saying, “There are countless samples here from brands eager to collaborate with me. The staff reviews them and makes recommendations.”
She also showcased her collection of fashion items, revealing, “These items are exclusively for me, as brands generously send me items. I come to Shanghai without luggage because everything I need is already here. I feel very thankful.”
Sharing a candid meal with her production team, Lee Da-hae discussed her motivations for starting her YouTube channel. “I’ve been active on Chinese social media for quite some time now. During challenging periods for Korean actors to find work, I began flourishing in China. However, I’ve always yearned to connect with my Korean fans. With my exciting life in China, I wanted to share these experiences with them,” she explained.
Since tying the knot with fellow star Se7en in May of last year after eight years of dating, Lee Da-hae has thrived in the Chinese entertainment scene. She previously revealed on MBC’s “Radio Star” that she astonishingly earned 10 billion KRW (approximately $8.4 million) in just four hours via a live commerce broadcast in China.
Moreover, it was disclosed that she made a significant profit of nearly 20 billion KRW (about $16.8 million) by selling a property she purchased in 2016 for 4.6 billion KRW (approximately $3.9 million) for 24 billion KRW (around $20.2 million) in August of last year.
