Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon Relocate from Jeju Island to Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul in September

According to a report from Ten Asia on the 5th, South Korean couple Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon have successfully relocated to their new residence in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, at the end of September. They plan to take some time to settle into their new home.

Records indicate that in August, Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon acquired a standalone house along with an adjacent plot of land in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, for a total of 6.05 billion won, which was paid entirely in cash. The residence features a basement and two floors, covering a total floor area of approximately 330 square meters. Ownership is divided, with Lee Hyori owning three-fourths and Lee Sang Soon holding one-fourth. The interior has been renovated to reflect the couple’s lifestyle preferences.

The couple, who married in 2013, began their married life in Jeju, residing in Sogil-ri, Aewol-eup, where they earned Lee Hyori the beloved nickname “Sogildaek.” Their home in Jeju was also showcased in JTBC’s Hyori’s Homestay, where they created numerous cherished memories with the audience. Following the show’s success, their Jeju property attracted many tourists, prompting the couple to relocated to another area in Jeju due to privacy concerns. Now, after 11 years of married life in Jeju, they are embarking on their first experience living in Seoul.

Earlier, Lee Sang-soon shared a photo of Lee Hyo-ri on his Instagram on February 19th, captioning it “Jeju check-out” . The post drew significant attention from netizens, as it was one of the few recent pictures of his wife.

The image depicted Lee Hyo-ri waving at Lee Sang-soon at Jeju International Airport, showcasing her cheerful demeanor and relaxed expression, complemented by a small backpack.

Social media users reacted with excitement, commenting, “Hyori unnie looks so thrilled to be going to Seoul,” “Her facial expression is so joyful,” “Is she heading to Seoul to film ‘Seoul Check-in’?” , “Where is she off to?” , “Check-in at Seoul soon?” , and “She’s radiating happiness!”

Lee Hyo-ri recently appeared on TVing’s pilot entertainment program Seoul Check-in, released last month, where she ventured from Jeju Island to stay in Seoul temporarily. During her time in the city, she also resided at the home of her close friend and fellow singer Uhm Jung-hwa.

During her stay, Lee Hyo-ri mentioned, “I didn’t bring any personal items when I visited Uhm Jung-hwa’s house since she already had cleansing products, makeup tools, and clothes available. She even lent me her underwear.”
