In the June 2nd episode of JTBC’s variety show “Mom, Do You Want to Go on a Trip?”, the journey of Lee Hyori and her mother to Gyeongju continued.
Lee Hyori made a passing mention of a high school romance that her mother was unaware of. She then turned to her mother and jokingly said, “Mom, what’s your take on this?”Her mother’s mention of the person’s real name caught Hyori off guard and she quickly tried to play it off by saying, “Let’s just call him XX.”
Lee Hyori playfully commented, “Even XX would have been okay,”to which her mother lovingly replied, “But Sangsoon is even better. Looks aren’t everything, it’s the person that truly matters,”showing her love for her daughter’s husband.
Lee Hyori persisted, stating, “He is more attractive than Sangsoon oppa.”Despite her mother’s disagreement, Lee Hyori defended her statement, saying, “The more you see him, the more adorable and good-looking he becomes.”However, her mother quickly responded, “I stand firm in my opinion.”
Ultimately, Lee Hyori admitted, “You are incredibly truthful. You would never be able to lie, even if someone held a knife to your throat. I share the same quality.”
At the same time, Lee Hyori tied the knot with guitarist Lee Sangsoon on Jeju Island in September 2013.
