On January 6, Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin graced episode 74 of the popular show “Zzanbro” as special guests, bringing their chemistry and wittiness to the screen.
During the episode, host Shin Dong-yup casually mentioned that Bae Doona had appeared in the previous week’s episode. To this, Lee Min-ho playfully responded, “I had dinner with Doona noona the night before,” and humorously added, “The next day, she posted a story saying, ‘What on earth was I thinking?’” Shin Dong-yup chimed in on Bae Doona’s charm, stating, “She was so cute, honest, and charming. Everyone fell for Doona.” He then advised the pair to “Just relax and be comfortable” as the conversation flowed.
Turning the spotlight on Lee Min-ho’s character, Gong Hyo-jin commented on his impressive manners, stating, “He’s so well-mannered.” She also shared an anecdote, revealing, “I asked him what kind of character he wanted to play today, and when I suggested we strategize, he simply said, ‘Min-ho will do.’ He doesn’t like overthinking roles.” Shin Dong-yup added his thoughts, remarking on Lee Min-ho’s reputation for loyalty and kindness towards his crew, highlighting that those who work with him often stick around for a long time.
Gong Hyo-jin continued, “He’s quite stubborn, but also loyal. You just can’t dislike him.” Lee Min-ho humorously retorted, “What’s the point? I still can’t get married,” eliciting laughter among the guests.
In a candid moment, Lee Min-ho reflected on his experiences in the industry, sharing that it had been a long time since he faced the feeling of being looked down upon in a role. “Feeling someone’s cold, dismissive gaze hurts. I realized that for years, I’ve been the leading figure in giving condescending looks while playing chaebol characters,” he confessed. This sparked laughter from the host, who quipped, “So just how many actors have you hurt in the process?” prompting joyous reactions all around.
