On June 15th, viewers saw the members of MBC’s entertainment program “Hangout With Yoo?”split into two teams for episode 238. Their task was to find a therapeutic activity for a father who was preparing to rejoin the workforce.
Teaming up with Haha and Lee Yi-kyung, Yoo Jae-suk offered a warning to the youngest member, who had a tendency to speak without thinking, advising him to filter his words before speaking. He explained that this was not the right era for such behavior. However, Lee Yi-kyung disagreed with Yoo Jae-suk’s advice and asked if they were in the Fifth Republic of Korea. Yoo Jae-suk clarified that their concept was set in the year 1991. Understanding the context, Lee Yi-kyung responded, recalling a memory from his childhood when his father had to apply ointment after being punished.
After being scolded by Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Yi-kyung apologized by lying on the ground and stretching out his body. Confused by Lee Yi-kyung’s unexpected behavior, Yoo Jae-suk questioned, “Why are you doing that in this day and age?”. Lee Yi-kyung then clarified, “You said it was 1991”. As Yoo Jae-suk continued to protest, “That’s not how we do things now”, Lee Yi-kyung responded with a humorous explanation, “I saw my Dad do it”, causing everyone to laugh.
