The popular web entertainment program, “No Prepare,”features Lee Young-ji having intimate conversations with celebrities while enjoying drinks. The show has welcomed a diverse range of guests, such as Park Bo-young, Kim Hyang-gi, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Jay Park, and aespa’s Karina. As the stars showcase their unique charms while chatting with Lee Young-ji, the show has garnered immense love from the public.
Following the announcement of its return for Season 3, “No Prepare”further heightened fans’ anticipation by revealing BLACKPINK’s Lisa as the first guest.
Despite the positive reactions, there were also reservations expressed by some individuals. With numerous idols and celebrities featured on the drinking show, there is a valid concern about its potential impact on underage viewers. Comments from netizens included statements such as, “It may not be suitable for young students to watch,””Perhaps it would be more appropriate for celebrities to drink non-alcoholic beverages while conversing,”and “The harmful effects of drinking shows should not be overlooked.”
Unpleasant incidents involving alcohol have been happening frequently in the entertainment industry. On August 7th, BTS’s Suga was charged by the police for riding an electric scooter while under the influence. According to the Road Traffic Act, operating a scooter while intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration between 0.08% and 0.2% can result in a prison sentence of 1-2 years or a fine of 5 million to 10 million won. Suga’s blood alcohol concentration was at a level that could result in the revocation of his license.
After causing a car accident with a taxi from the opposite direction, Kim Ho-joong was also charged with drunk driving. Not only did he attempt to switch drivers, but he also consumed more alcohol, which made it challenging to accurately measure his blood alcohol level.
