LEGO Fan’s Impressive MOC of Pokemon Card

Inspired by Pokemon trading cards, a fan has ingeniously crafted a highly intricate, three-dimensional replica using LEGO bricks, resulting in a stunning MOC.

Takamichi Irie, a LEGO builder known for his work on Flickr (https://www.flickr.com/photos/legomichiiiiii/), has taken on the challenge of reimagining a Pokemon playing card using LEGO bricks. This impressive LEGO MOC showcases intricate details on both the front and back of the brick-built card, incorporating various elements inspired by the original game.

The LEGO MOC is mounted on a stand, enhancing its display value. The card’s front showcases a Pokémon surrounded by carefully constructed vegetation. The pixelated background is striking. The top of the card displays the Pocket Monster’s name, Chikorita, written in Japanese characters. An observant viewer may also notice the inclusion of a Bionicle mask, making for a clever addition to the build.

Similarly, the elaborate detailing of this build is not limited to the front of the card. The rear design is also spectacular.

The back of the build pays homage to the classic Pokemon cards, with a Poke Ball and Pokemon lettering displayed in a 3D fashion. Similar to the front, the back also showcases a pixelated background. Additionally, seven transparent balls are included to symbolize the different types of Pokemon.

In addition, Takamichi Irie has incorporated various elements on the side of the card, further adding to its impressive detailing. These elements bring to mind iconic items from the world of Pokémon, such as Master Balls, Ultra Balls, Pokémon Guides, Magic Candies, Elixir, and Medicine.

Undeniably one of the most remarkable MOCs of 2024, a LEGO-produced version would be a highly anticipated addition to their catalog. Both LEGO enthusiasts and Pokemon aficionados alike would delight in the chance to construct Pokemon cards and characters using bricks. Unfortunately, the possibility of Pokemon LEGO sets remains a mere fantasy. Nonetheless, we can still hope for LEGO to create sets like this in the future. And with the upcoming release of an official Legend of Zelda set later this year, it no longer seems like an impossible dream.
