On October 28, 2024, renowned Hunter X Hunter creator Yoshihiro Togashi delighted his followers with a fresh update, featuring a new illustration that includes Leorio and Kurapika alongside Gon and Killua. The talented artist has been actively sharing progress on his work daily, and this latest artwork showcases the beloved quartet of main characters.

Hunter X Hunter has experienced numerous hiatuses primarily due to Togashi’s health challenges. However, it appears the writer is now committed to a consistent production schedule, as evidenced by his recent online interactions and updates.

Togashi’s latest artwork reunites the central characters of Hunter X Hunter

On this date, Togashi used his official X (formerly Twitter) account to reveal the new artwork. Initially, he began with a drawing of Gon Freecss, but soon incorporated Killua Zoldyck. To fans’ surprise, he later added Leorio Paradinight to the mix, culminating in an illustration that included Kurapika, thus completing the piece.

The post was captioned “No.423, character inking completed,”suggesting that the completed artwork marks the end of the character inking phase for Hunter X Hunter Chapter 423, with plans to shift focus to the subsequent chapter next.

Togashi previously mentioned his goal to complete his work until at least Hunter X Hunter Chapter 430. Given that he has seven chapters remaining in his 2024 target, the creator is on track to reach that milestone.

The community’s response to the new illustration was overwhelmingly positive, with fans expressing gratitude for Togashi’s remarkable artistry despite his health struggles. Many expressed their appreciation specifically for Kurapika’s inclusion.

According to one fan, it has been over two decades since their last on-screen interaction in the series, leading many to wish for a narrative that brings them together in the manga as well.
