The series is set to premiere on October 1, 2024, as announced by the staff. Along with this news, additional cast members were revealed and details about the theme songs were also announced.
The anime adaptation of author Tsukikage and illustrator Chyko’s Japanese fantasy light novel series, Let This Grieving Soul Retire, was produced by Zero-G. The light novels were originally published by Sol Press, but due to the company’s closure, J-Novel Club has obtained the rights to publish them.

The Let This Grieving Soul Retire anime’s official staff released the show’s first promotional video on Sunday, August 18, 2024, announcing October 1, 2024 as the official release date.
The broadcast details for Let This Grieving Soul Retire, a fantasy series, have been announced. The show will air its episodes every Tuesday at 11:30 pm JST on Tokyo MX and BS11 channels in Japan, beginning on October 1, 2024. It will also be shown on Sun TV at 1 AM, starting October 2, 2024.
The latest live stream presentation for Let This Grieving Soul Retire anime unveiled its first trailer, showcasing prominent characters such as Krai Andrey, Tino Shade, and others. The teaser highlights Krai’s sorrow and the charm of the other characters.
In addition to the PV, a new key visual has also been revealed. The artwork shows Krai and the other characters posing for promotional photos for the anime adaptation. Krai can be seen sitting on a chair, with Tino Shade, Liz, and Sitri standing around him.
Furthermore, the official staff announced that Lezel will be performing the show’s opening theme, Katto Tomorrow, and P-Maru-Sama will be singing the ending theme, Scream! Additional cast members have been revealed. Yo Taichi has been cast as Eva Renfield, the vice clan master of the most powerful clan in the imperial capital, First Step. Akira Sekine will be joining Yo-san as the voice of Rhuda Runebeck, a member of a dubious party. The remaining roles will be filled by Koji Seki as Greg Zangief and Seiji Maeda as Gilbert Bush.
The main voice cast of the anime includes Miyu Kubota as Tino Shade, Kensho Ono as Krai Andrey, Tomokazu Sugita as both the narrator and Ansem, Kohei Amasaki as Luke, Aoi Koga as Lucia, Konomi Kohara as Sitri, Ai Fairoz as Liz, and various others.
The anime at Zero-G Studios is directed by Masahiro Takata, with Hideki Shirane overseeing the scripts. Masahiro Takata is also responsible for sound direction, while Saber Links handles sound production. Yosuke Isochi serves as the character designer and Ryohei Fujisaki has joined the staff as the music composer.
Let This Grieving Soul Retire anime is adapted from Tsukikage’s fantasy light novel and follows Krai Andrey, a hunter who desires to retire due to his waning interest in the role.
