Let This Grieving Soul Retire! Anime Confirms Fall 2024 Premiere and More Cast

On Sunday, June 23, 2023, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for the Let This Grieving Soul Retire! anime announced that the series will be released in Fall 2024, specifically in October 2024. The staff also revealed five additional cast members along with this announcement.

After being serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, the novels were acquired by Micro Magazine. However, the license was later obtained by Sol Press, but with the company’s closure, J-Novel Club took over the rights to publish the series, allowing this grieving soul to finally retire.

Let This Grieving Soul Retire! – Release Date: October 2024

As previously stated, the creators of the Let This Grieving Soul Retire! anime announced on Sunday, June 23, 2024, that the series will debut in October 2024, during the Fall 2024 season. This means that it will be airing alongside other popular anime titles, including Re: Zero season 3.

In addition, five more cast members were revealed. Fairouz Ali will play the role of Liz Smart, the sister of Ansem and Tino’s teacher, in the Let This Grieving Soul Retire! anime. Konomi Kohara will voice Sitri Smart, who is described as the younger sister of Liz and Ansem, as well as Krai’s childhood friend.

Tomokazu Sugita has been announced as part of the voice cast for the role of Ansem Smart, an elite capital knight. Joining him are new voice actors Kohei Amasaki, who will be playing the role of Krai’s childhood friend, Luke Sykol, the strongest fighter in the Capital, and Aoi Koga as Lucia, a magus.

The recently announced cast members, including Kensho Ono as Krai Andrey and Miyu Kubota as Tino Shade, will be joined by additional voice actors. The official website has also shared statements from the new voice actors, expressing their enthusiasm for being a part of the franchise.

Staff and Synopsis of Let This Grieving Soul Retire! Anime

The series at Zero-G studios is directed by Masahiro Takata, with series scripts being overseen by Hideki Shirane. Masahiro-san also serves as the sound director, while Saber Links handles the Sound Production. Yosuke Isouchi is responsible for character design, and Ryohei Fujisaki composes the music.

According to Tsukikage’s fantasy tale, the anime depicts the journey of Krai Andrey, the main character, who desires to retire from his role as a hunter after realizing his lack of passion for it. With the support of his childhood friend, he moves closer to achieving his dream.
