On Thursday, October 16th, tragedy struck as former One Direction star Liam Payne fell to his death from the balcony of the CasaSur Palermo hotel located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This has been officially confirmed by the Argentine Federal Police, with Argentine news outlet TN being the first to divulge this heartbreaking news.

Additional alarming findings were reported from the desk, where a box of Dove soap, matches, remnants of candles, tin foil, and what appeared to be cocaine were discovered. A lighter and a melted soda can lid were also uncovered amid the mess, indicating a scene of despair and turmoil.

First responders and SAME paramedics (Buenos Aires’ public emergency medical service) arrived on the scene, confirming that Liam Payne had succumbed to his injuries after falling from the hotel’s third floor. The time of his death was noted at approximately 5:11 PM local time, with Crescenti, the head of SAME, stating that Liam’s injuries were catastrophic, leaving no possibility for rescue.
