On October 18, according to local reports from TMZ, law enforcement officials in Buenos Aires, Argentina, revealed that musician Liam Payne was under the influence of a hazardous substance known as “cristal.”This drug can trigger intense highs and lows in users, often leading to aggressive behavior.
Authorities suspect that Payne’s unusual conduct may have been exacerbated by the drug, contributing to hallucinations that preceded his leap from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.
An insider from the music industry disclosed that “Liam had been battling a significant drug addiction, and despite multiple interventions, his recovery efforts were unsuccessful, as those close to him could confirm.”
Witnesses noted that in the hours leading up to his tragic fall, Payne displayed alarming behavior.
One hotel guest reported seeing him destroy a laptop, while another mentioned an argument between him and an unidentified woman in the lobby concerning financial issues.
On October 16, Liam Payne tragically fell from his hotel balcony. Pablo Policicchio, the spokesperson for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, confirmed that “Payne jumped from his balcony.”
Post-mortem examinations revealed that Payne sustained critical head injuries, with reports indicating he suffered from both internal and external bleeding affecting the skull, chest, abdomen, and limbs, which ultimately caused his death.
Payne is survived by his 7-year-old son from a previous relationship with singer Cheryl Cole.
