Like Gojo, Sukuna’s ultimate fate in Jujutsu Kaisen may have been foreshadowed by Toji’s final moments

Despite Team Jujutsu High’s continuous efforts to defeat him, antagonist Ryomen Sukuna is still proving to be a formidable opponent in the ongoing battle in Jujutsu Kaisen. He consistently surprises them with his abilities, making it difficult for them to gain the upper hand.

Unexpectedly, Yuji Itadori achieved the ultimate level of Jujutsu known as Domain Expansion. In the most recent chapter, it was revealed that even though the domain was hastily constructed, it displayed impressive qualities for someone attempting it for the first time.

As viewers anxiously await the outcome, some have noticed a potential hint from creator Gege Akutami that may foreshadow Sukuna’s destiny. This theory connects the current events to Toji Fushiguro’s final moments in his intense battle against Gojo Satoru.

Possible Foreshadowing of Sukuna’s Fate in Toji’s Last Moments in Jujutsu Kaisen

In order to understand the significance of the events, it is important to draw a comparison between Toji and Gojo. Toji was taken by surprise when an awakened Gojo unleashed his first Hollow Purple attack, leaving a gaping hole in his body. Similarly, Gojo’s fight against Sukuna, hailed as the battle of the century, ended in an unexpected slash from the King of Curses. Both Toji and Gojo met their demise while standing, taken aback by sudden attacks.

Additionally, Gojo’s attire closely resembled Toji’s. While there were specific reasons for choosing his outfit, it could also be interpreted as a foreshadowing of Gojo’s eventual demise by Akutami. Similarly, in chapter 265 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna is seen frothing at the mouth as he proclaims his intent to kill Yuji and all those close to him.

This type of anger displayed by Sukuna is somewhat unexpected, as he typically maintains a composed and superior attitude. Additionally, it bears resemblance to Toji, who only experienced rage for the first time during his battle against an awakened Gojo.

In order to draw more similarities, Sukuna has previously brushed off Yuji’s attacks (somehow managing to counter them) just like Toji did to Gojo. In chapter 265, Sukuna expresses his desire to eliminate both Yuji and his loved ones. Similarly, Toji declared that Gojo should “perish”as he launched an attack from a distance using the Inverted Spear of Heaven attached to a chain.

In the battle between Toji and Gojo, the latter emerged victorious due to his initial use of Hollow Purple. As Akutami often incorporates foreshadowing, connections, and callbacks, this encounter between Yuji and Sukuna mirrors that of Gojo and Toji. It is possible that Sukuna will engage in another confrontation with Yuji.

Despite being prepared this time, Yuji may retaliate with an unexpected move that could ultimately defeat Sukuna once and for all. This could suggest that Akutami has foreshadowed the fate of the two strongest sorcerers through the Sorcerer Killer – Gojo meeting the same fate as Toji and Sukuna meeting the same fate as Gojo, both falling victim to a surprise attack or move.

This latest Jujutsu Kaisen theory is causing quite a stir since its emergence. Akutami’s exceptional storytelling skills and knack for crafting mind-boggling plot twists and connections distinguish him, and this manga is a prime example of that.

It is widely known that Toji Fushiguro was a rare case in the Jujutsu society, defying the restrictions of fate and posing a serious threat to Gojo. Despite being one of the few to make Sukuna break a sweat, Gojo met an unfortunate end. Considering the striking similarities between their deaths, it would not be surprising if history were to repeat itself and Sukuna were to meet a similar fate.
