On September 11, 2024, Lil Tay’s X account sparked panic with two alarming posts. The first announced: “We have devastating news about Tay.”

Anxious netizens flocked to the comments, expressing their concerns for the star’s safety, while some expressed skepticism about falling for a hoax again.
“We not falling for this again, buddy,” one user replied.
“You’ve done this before, how am I supposed to believe anything from ya now,” another added.
Tay’s Instagram claims influencer is “in serious condition”
“Tay is currently in the ICU in serious condition,” read a message in the chat.
A similar incident occurred in summer 2023 when Tay’s account was hacked, posting a false message claiming she and her brother had died.
“It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire’s sudden and tragic passing,” the post claimed. “We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain.”
Ultimately, this ordeal was revealed to be a hoax, with both Tay and her brother found safe. Tay later accused her father of orchestrating the incident, alleging abuse and claiming he intended to profit from the scam tied to cryptocurrency.
Since then, Tay has made a resurgence on social media, launching a music career and remaining active on her X account. However, her recent posts have sparked a mix of concern and speculation among her audience.
