The 17-year-old social media influencer went viral on September 11, 2024, when her X account disclosed “devastating” news about Lil Tay.
The account stated that she had been diagnosed with a “life-threatening” heart tumor and was admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Many viewers on X have labeled the claims a hoax, with comments suggesting that Lil Tay’s “rent is due again,” implying that these posts might be a strategy to generate revenue and go viral.
Moreover, a community note on her initial post states that the entire situation is fake.
In defense, her X account labeled the community note as “misleading” and emphasized that something is genuinely wrong with Tay.
“This community note is misleading, as something is indeed wrong with Tay. Last time, it was her absentee father who hacked into her accounts and faked her death. However, this time, she is in the ICU,” the statement reads.

Many viewers remain doubtful due to an incident in 2023 when Lil Tay’s Instagram account announced the deaths of her and her brother.
After regaining access to her account, Tay revealed that her father had taken control to spread the viral hoax.
Since then, she has returned to social media and launched a music career. Tay shares her music videos on YouTube and has gained over 400,000 subscribers and nearly 10 million views.
