Lil Tay’s Account Hypes New Music Release During Health Crisis, Fans Express Discontent

<p>Lil Tay’s social media managers are currently promoting a new song from the young influencer, despite her hospitalization due to a “life-threatening” heart tumor — raising skepticism among her fans.

The 17-year-old social media star, Lil Tay, is reportedly recovering in the hospital after undergoing surgery to remove a heart tumor, as evidenced by photos and videos shared on her social media accounts throughout September 2024.

Fans are expressing doubt amidst this situation due to a previous ‘death hoax’ in 2023, where Tay’s Instagram account was hacked with false claims that both she and her brother had died.

Although Lil Tay’s social media managers are denying that her current health issues are a publicity stunt, many viewers remain unconvinced… particularly as they promoted her upcoming song on September 20.

In a recent Instagram post, her account shared a childhood photo alongside a more recent image to promote her pre-recorded song, ‘Growing Up.’ The post states, “Lil Tay spent the past year battling serious health issues, stepping away at the peak of her comeback. The discovery of her heart tumor was another devastating blow, fueling her fears about the future.”

It continues: “Amidst this turmoil, Tay poured her pain, nostalgia, and fears into writing ‘Growing Up,’ a song that reflects on the loss of childhood. It reminisces about the simplicity before her absentee father’s court battle, deteriorating health, and other setbacks.”

Many fans are skeptical of this narrative, with one commenting: “I’m not trying to be that person… but every time something happens to Lil Tay, they use it as an opportunity to promote music.”

“So they used this heart condition to gain a little more fame and decided to release a song at the peak of it. Seems legit,” another user remarked.

“So, you promote her music every single time after a tragic incident or situation? That’s unbelievable,” another commented.

Lil Tay’s account holders insist that her reported heart tumor is not a publicity stunt, asserting that the 2023 ‘Death Hoax’ was instigated by the star’s “misogynistic father.”

Tay herself has blamed the incident on her estranged father and maintained an active presence on social media until late summer 2024, when news of her heart condition became public.
