Lilith and Inarius from Diablo 4 gave Whoopi Goldberg the Key to Hell at a cannabis brand event.

Following the launch of Diablo 4 in June 2023, Whoopi Goldberg gained attention for her dissatisfaction with the game’s unavailability on Mac computers.

Being a devoted follower of the series, the Oscar-winner bought the latest installment on its release day. After discovering that it was not compatible with Apple devices, Goldberg took to social media to urge Blizzard to either create a Mac version or provide a refund.

The criticisms of the View host did, in fact, make their way to the studio, resulting in a refund being given to her shortly thereafter.

Significantly, the ongoing saga between Whoopi and Blizzard reached a new development when Diablo GM Rod Fergusson joined A Night with Whoopi on July 20. This event was held to celebrate her recently launched cannabis brand, Emma & Clyde.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Fergusson was not alone on the trip. He was joined by two costumed figures from Sanctuary, Inarius and Lilith, who presented the actress with a “Key to Hell”trinket during the festivities.

Despite previous entries in the franchise being released on Apple-branded computers, the popular title still does not have a native Mac version.

Despite the option for Mac users to access the Sanctuary-set adventure through tools such as the Game Porting Toolkit and CrossOver, a proper release is still highly anticipated by many.

Currently, Blizzard Entertainment has not disclosed any plans to port the ARPG.

Despite this, fans of Diablo 4, such as Whoopi Goldberg, can still anticipate the release of the game’s first expansion later this year. The expansion, Vessel of Hatred, is set to launch on Tuesday, October 8, coinciding with the arrival of Season 6.
