After a three year hiatus since her last movie, “Spiritwalker”in 2021, Lim Ji-yeon has returned to the big screen with her latest film “Revolver”, which premiered on August 7th.
In her role as Jeong Yoon-sun in “Revolver,”Lim Ji-yeon portrays a club madam who conceals her true emotions, leaving others to wonder if she is a supporter or betrayer of Ha Soo-young (Jeon Do-yeon). According to critics, Lim Ji-yeon’s powerful emotional acting adds to the film’s captivating atmosphere.
Throughout the promotional period for “Revolver”, the actress captivated the audience with her laid-back demeanor and vibrant presence on various programs.
During her appearance on the web entertainment show “Pinggyego”on the 3rd, Lim Ji-yeon amused the audience with her response to MC Yoo Jae-suk’s question, “How were your school days?”. The actress revealed, “I wasn’t well-known in school, but I always aspired to be famous. I would say I’m quite a seeker of attention.”
Despite being known for her slender figure, standing at 166cm and weighing 48kg, Lim Ji-yeon shocked many when she confessed to being a “big eater”and capable of consuming five packs of instant noodles. The actress even expressed her desire to showcase her own mukbang, as there are already many popular mukbang YouTubers.
Furthermore, Lim Ji-yeon admitted that she was unable to conceal her love story.
Despite actor Lee Do-hyun’s current military service, Lim Ji-yeon and him are still publicly dating after publicly announcing their relationship in April of last year. In May, the couple had a heartwarming reunion at the Baeksang Arts Awards, where they both attended as an award presenter and winner, respectively. Their relationship continues to thrive.
When asked about her relationship with Lee Do-hyun, Lim Ji-yeon admitted, “We were caught. How can we handle this situation?”However, she also emphasized that they respect each other’s professional endeavors and simply offer encouragement and motivation. She expressed her wish for their continued good health and success.
Despite gaining recognition for her exceptional acting skills in the role of Youngmi in the 2019 movie “Tazza: One Eyed Jack”, it was Lim Ji-yeon’s villainous portrayal in “The Glory”that brought her into the public eye. However, she once again showcased her versatility and talent in “Revolver”with her high-tone voice and affectionate gaze towards Jeon Do-yeon.
