She explained how the formation of LLOUD came about, revealing that the group members debated their contract renewals before ultimately deciding to pursue solo endeavors. “Of course we want to do more because BLACKPINK is integral to our lives. As a result, this transition allowed Lisa and her colleagues to become free agents for their respective projects. Lisa is determined to make a significant impact within the U.S. music landscape, as noted by Alice Kang, LLOUD’s head of global business.

Embracing New Responsibilities

Assuming the role of boss at LLOUD has introduced Lisa to various administrative responsibilities, including managing budgets and expense reports. This shift has made her more cautious with her spending. “Being under YG, I didn’t comprehend the financial aspects; I never realized how much was expended on music videos or promotional activities,”she admitted. “Now, however, I have gained insights and discovered that first-class travel might no longer be an option,”Lisa humorously stated.

Lisa described LLOUD as feeling more like a family-run business, with a close-knit team of fewer than ten employees. She noted that the team’s hard work has necessitated a delay in bringing new members on board.

Creative Freedom and Personal Insights

Despite the challenging dynamics of managing a small business, Lisa relishes the creative freedom she experiences in her current role. She elaborated on the exciting opportunities she now has to explore her artistic vision.

When the conversation shifted to her rumored romantic connection with Frédéric Arnault, heir to the LVMH fortune, and the song “Moonlit Floor,” Lisa responded playfully, indicating that she “didn’t write that song,” thereby adding a layer of intrigue to her personal life without confirming the rumors.
