Following the conclusion of their contracts with YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s Lisa has emerged as a formidable solo artist, consistently dropping new tracks. In 2024, she debuted three exciting singles: “Rockstar,” “New Woman,” and “Moonlit Floor.”
Despite her impressive achievements on the charts and winning the Best Kpop award at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), Lisa has not escaped controversy. She faces criticism over her songwriting abilities, with claims of juvenile lyrics, allegations about idea plagiarism, and particular scrutiny over her live singing performances.
The most prominent incident involved Lisa being accused of lip-syncing during her performances at the 2024 VMAs and the Global Citizen Festival. These allegations resurfaced during the official performance video of “Moonlit Floor,” which was made public on October 9.
Although Lisa and her management have yet to directly address these claims, her fans are confident that the 1997-born star possesses adequate means to respond effectively.
On October 15, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made a much-anticipated comeback after many years. Featuring a lineup of top models and lingerie angels, the event also showcased performances from well-known artists, including Lisa. The Thai sensation electrified the runway with live renditions of “Rockstar” and “Moonlit Floor.” After the event, fans took to social media, sharing videos that suggested she was indeed performing live.
