Lisa revealed a sneak peek of the new song’s melody in a TikTok video last week. The captivating concept photo, which was released alongside the trailer, highlights Lisa’s girl-crush persona and Rosalia’s unique Spanish flair. In the photo, the idol is seen sporting curly hair and bold, overlined lips.
In June, Lisa’s single “Rockstar”was released and reached number 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 8 on Spotify’s Top Songs Global chart. The single also climbed to number 4 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart and reached number 1 on the Global chart, achieving an impressive level of success.
The music video for “Rockstar”was accused of plagiarism after British director Gabriel Moses claimed that it bore similarities to the MV for “FE!N”by American rapper Travis Scott, which he had directed. Moses shared a clip on social media that showcased a scene in Lisa’s video that he believed had been copied from his work. The footage featured a continuous panning shot of Lisa and her dancers, similar to a scene in “FE!N”that showed uniformed children. Moses also mentioned that he had previously sent an email to Lisa’s team for reference, but his objections were disregarded and the project continued as planned.
Lisa is expanding her solo endeavors with the establishment of her own company. While her initial focus was on music projects, she has recently delved into the world of acting by securing a role in HBO’s series “The White Lotus.”The singer revealed that she personally auditioned for the part.
Moreover, Lisa reassured fans that BLACKPINK will not be disbanding, stating, “We will definitely keep going. We are extremely proud of and passionate about BLACKPINK, not just for our fans, but also for ourselves. This is our livelihood.”
