Lisa’s Fan Meeting in Indonesia and Singapore Struggles to Sell Out

Lisa, celebrated as one of the leading female solo artists in the K-pop scene and the most influential in Southeast Asia, has encountered unexpected challenges in her ticket sales across these regions. On the very first day of ticket availability in Singapore, merely 15% of the tickets were purchased.

In Indonesia, where she enjoys a substantial following and is often regarded as a second home, sales were sluggish as well, with fewer than half the tickets sold within the first three days. CNN Indonesia even highlighted the issue with reports on the unsold tickets.

A comment that received over 20,000 likes pointed out that the ticket prices were excessively high, especially considering the event primarily consists of Lisa performing along with pre-recorded tracks and lip-syncing.

By contrast, BTS member Suga has shown a far more successful ticket sales record. When compared with other female solo artists such as Taeyeon and IU, Lisa’s ticket sales significantly lag behind.

In September, Lisa, the youngest member of BLACKPINK, announced her Asian fan meeting tour slated for mid-November, dubbed “Fan Meetup.” This information was revealed by her management agency, LLOUD.

The tour is set to span five cities across Asia, commencing on November 11 in Singapore, followed by stops in Bangkok (Thailand), Jakarta (Indonesia), Kaohsiung (Taiwan, China), and wrapping up in Hong Kong (China) on November 19.

Lisa’s “Fan Meetup” tour signifies a pivotal advancement in her solo career, marking her first-ever tour as a solo artist. Additionally, she is the first BLACKPINK member to embark on a global fan meeting tour after eight years of group activities.
