Fans of Chinese showbiz are already well-acquainted with the name Cai Xukun. During the beginning of his career, he took part in the 2018 Chinese audition program “Idol Producer”and subsequently made his debut as the leader and center member of the group Nine Percent.
Cai Xukun, known for his plethora of talents, continued to achieve success after his solo debut in the same year. In 2020, he gained even more recognition when he appeared as a panelist on “Youth With You,”particularly among K-pop enthusiasts, as he had the opportunity to collaborate with BLACKPINK member Lisa, who was also a panelist on the show.

Unfortunately, his success was short-lived when a major scandal in 2023 brought an end to his career. In June of that year, negative rumors surfaced after a netizen claimed to have become pregnant following a one-night stand with Cai Xukun.
According to the woman, Cai Xukun’s mother pressured her to terminate her pregnancy. The mother even went to the extent of installing CCTV outside the woman’s house to monitor and intimidate her into getting an abortion. In order to support her claims, the woman provided a photo of her abortion certificate. A recording of Cai Xukun’s mother promising to pay the woman to undergo an abortion was also released by paparazzi.

In July, Cai Xukun took to Weibo to share his official statement, clarifying that their one-night stand was consensual and that they both mutually agreed to the abortion. He vehemently refuted any claims of forced abortion and dismissed rumors about the woman’s age. Additionally, he expressed remorse to his fans and reflected on his actions.
Despite the woman’s confirmation that the paparazzi had deceived the public with fabricated information and manipulated photos, Cai Xukun was still obliged to halt his activities and take a hiatus after his early 2023 promotion in order to avoid any potential controversies.
Despite his absence from the media for over a year, Cai Xukun returned to the entertainment scene in 2024, engaging in various activities. He not only released new music, but also took on the role of ambassador for luxury brand Versace, modeling for their latest collections.
Recently, Cai Xukun, a top singer, has been noticeably absent from TV appearances following a scandal involving an abortion.
