EA announced the addition of several players to the 99 club for Madden 25, the highest overall rating attainable based on their outstanding performances from the previous season.
EA has kept details about the upcoming title of Madden 25 tightly under wraps, but with the worldwide launch date set for August 16, fans are eagerly anticipating its release.
Despite this, the development team did reveal that new additions would be made to Franchise mode. These additions include dynamic storylines, an enhanced NFL Draft night experience, and a revamped prospect pool, all of which are set to be released on July 31.
EA has released the initial set of ratings, which includes some notable members of the 99 club. Now, let’s dive into who will be considered the top players in Madden 25.
All 99 Club Players in Madden 25
As of July 31, the only three players who have achieved membership in the ’99 Club’ in Madden 25 are Tyreek Hill, a receiver for the Miami Dolphins, Trent Williams, a left tackle for the San Francisco 49ers, and Christian McCaffrey, a running back for the San Francisco 49ers.
Despite being a standout player on the Minnesota Vikings, wide receiver Justin Jefferson received a 98 overall rating in Madden 24 after just falling short of the 99 club. Additionally, numerous formidable defensive linemen were also unable to secure a spot in the coveted 99 club.
Despite having a strong performance as edge rushers in the previous season, Micah Parsons and Myles Garret both hold a 98 overall rating in Madden 25, while Chris Jones and Maxx Crosby follow closely behind with a 97 overall rating.
The previous year, Aaron Donald of the Rams, Travis Kelce of the Chiefs, Zack Martin of the Cowboys, and Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs were all part of the prestigious 99 club. However, as Martin reaches the end of his career at 33 years old, his overall rating has dropped to 97.
After an incredible 10-season tenure in the NFL, Aaron Donald made the decision to retire while at the peak of his career. With a long history of dominating opposing quarterbacks, Donald’s induction into the Hall of Fame is guaranteed.
EA has not yet disclosed the ratings for quarterbacks and tight ends, indicating that there is still a possibility for the formidable pair, Mahomes and Kelce, to be included in the 99 club.
Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge that the 99 club is not set in stone. With each new installment of the Madden game, EA Sports makes adjustments to players’ overall ratings to reflect their real-life performance.
