If you are determined to complete your Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Pokedex, the following are all the trade codes that can be utilized in the game.

In Scarlet & Violet, like every other mainline Pokemon game, there are exclusive creatures that can only be obtained in one version. Therefore, players will need to trade with friends or visit their game to acquire these creatures.

What are trade codes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

Trade codes, also referred to as Link Codes, are standardized codes used in the game to facilitate Pokemon trades between Trainers worldwide. These codes allow for the exchange of desired creatures, such as swapping a Quaxly for a Fuecoco or trading a Scream Tail (exclusive to Scarlet) for an Iron Bundle (exclusive to Violet).

To ensure you have enough of your starter Pokemon, it is advisable to breed more before trading it. This can be achieved by having only a Ditto and your starter Pokemon in your party during a picnic.

Gradually, eggs will start showing up in the picnic basket next to the table. From there, all you need to do is add the egg to your group and wait for it to hatch.

To participate in trading with other trainers using a Pokemon Scarlet & Violet trade code, you must access the Poke Portal online.

To trade with other Trainers using a code, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that your game is connected to the internet by accessing the menu with X and then pressing L.
  2. After establishing an internet connection, navigate to the “Poke Portal”menu.
  3. Choose the option for Link Trade.
  4. To initiate your search, please enter your trade code from the provided tables and then select the option for ‘Begin Searching’.
  5. Select the Pokemon you wish to exchange.
  6. Make sure to verify that your trading partner has selected the desired Pokemon before finalizing the trade.

It is important to keep in mind that Scarlet & Violet have been in business for a significant amount of time, making it difficult to find suitable collaborators for specific trades, particularly during unconventional hours.
