Live Streaming of Male Sexual Assault with 200 Viewers: No Reports Made

On October 11th, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station revealed that they arrested A, a 30-year-old broadcast jockey (BJ), on September 9th. A has been transferred to the prosecution on charges of quasi-rape and engaging in forced indecent acts.

The allegations state that A sexually assaulted a female victim who was incapacitated and unconscious while livestreaming on an internet broadcasting platform.

Incident of sexual assault

At the time of the incident, the female victim reportedly was rendered unconscious due to sleeping pills. A proceeded to broadcast the assault live to an audience of over 200 viewers, none of whom reported the criminal act to law enforcement.

As the police launched their investigation, they discovered further allegations of sexual misconduct related to another female individual.

A has denied all accusations, asserting that there was no form of coercion involved.
