The Haunt event on Roblox is nearing its conclusion. If you’ve been participating, you might have noticed the Headless Horseman statue located at the back of the mansion—it has sparked quite a bit of discussion. As of October 30, 2024, players can confront the event’s boss. Here, you’ll discover how to locate the Headless Horseman and the strategy to take him down!
Locating the Headless Horseman in The Haunt on Roblox
To engage in the boss battle against the Headless Horseman, navigate to the back of the mansion and approach the side opposite his statue.
You’ll find a swirling orange and black portal that you can interact with. Click on it to be transported to a new area.
Once you arrive, look slightly up and to the right to spot a house emanating black smoke.
Proceed up the path towards that house to track down the Headless Horseman.
Enter the bottom floor of the house and take the fractured path to reach the area for the boss battle.
If you see an orange barrier surrounding the area, it indicates that a battle is currently taking place, and you must wait for your chance to challenge Horatio Axbury, the boss of The Haunt.
Defeating the Headless Horseman in The Haunt on Roblox
Each fight has a 30-second intermission, allowing additional players to join the circle. When the battle commences, five mannequins will rise from the ground within small glowing circles.
To inflict damage on Horatio Axbury, you must dress the mannequins and create different outfits.
Every mannequin requires three clothing items and accessories, which adds up to three total items, not three of each type.
Throughout The Haunt event, there has been an ongoing dress-up competition with five categories. This concept extends to the boss fight as well, where you face five mannequins that each belong to one of those categories.
Hence, when you gather “Cute”items (visible at the bottom of your screen), you’ll use these for dressing up one mannequin in a cute theme. Cute clothing items include sweatshirts, pajama pants, mugs, and even a bunny hood.
In addition, there are clothing pieces and accessories labeled Scary, Orange, Villain, and Creature, aligned with the categories from The Haunt’s costume contests.
The Cute and Orange outfits are simpler to assemble, while the other three categories share a similar color palette, requiring you to be more aware of your inventory shown at the bottom of your screen.
You can pick up one item from each chest at a time and can only carry one item, so there will be quite a bit of back-and-forth involved in gathering outfits.
Below you’ll find some outfit examples I helped assemble during various matches to give you a head start. It’s crucial for players engaged in the boss fight to be aware that each mannequin poses differently for each category; descriptions accompany the images I’ve collected.
Creature Outfits
The mannequin with Creature costume components will lean slightly forward, though not as much as the Scary mannequin. Their hands rest around hip level, and one leg is positioned slightly behind the other.
Cute Outfits
A mannequin dressed in a cute outfit always stands on one leg with one arm raised in excitement. This pose is the most recognizable, making it easy to assemble each cute costume.
Villain Outfits
The Villain mannequin adopts a stance reminiscent of having a hand in its pocket, exuding an air of menace, typically accessorized with a mask.
Orange Outfits
The mannequin sporting the Orange costume presents a more neutral pose, resembling a fashion mannequin, often adorned with orange glasses or an orange flower crown.
Scary Outfits
The Scary mannequin strikes a classic “roar!”pose, with arms lifted and an alert body position as though popping out to startle you.
Rewards for the Boss Fight in The Haunt on Roblox
You only need to win a single battle to earn rewards for this event’s boss fight. The prize consists of the “Evil Pumpkin and Friendly Skeleton”accessories, which can float alongside your Roblox avatar. These accessories humorously serve as extra “heads,”likely referencing your victory over the Headless Horseman.
