With the latest Ode to Castlevania expansion, Vampire Survivors has introduced actual vampires, adding a thrilling new layer to the gameplay. Players can unlock unique characters, including the iconic Julius Belmont, by discovering hidden coffins scattered throughout the castle. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to locate and access the second coffin in the game.
Finding and Opening the Second Coffin in Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania
Unlike the first coffin, which is quite easy to find if you know where to look, the second coffin presents a greater challenge. It is hidden in a secret area of the castle, specifically marked by a white question mark on the map.
To access the coffin, you must first defeat the boss responsible for dropping the Scorpion Gate. This boss is located near the entrance of the hallway that leads to the library. After defeating this boss, you’ll need to navigate to a less obvious section located beneath the winding library.
As you explore the library filled with towering bookshelves, direct your attention towards the left side until you stumble upon a wall featuring a noticeable red crack. This crack can be found toward the end of the library area and is indicated on the map.
To enter the secret room, simply walk through the wall with the red crack. Inside, you will encounter a maze of bookshelves. Continue navigating to the left through this hidden area until you reach the end, where the second coffin awaits.
Upon opening the coffin, there is no additional boss battle; instead, you will unlock Julius Belmont as a new playable character. After unlocking him, you can safely exit your run.
