To access the multiplayer session ID for a hosted server, press “Esc” to open the main menu. Navigate to the “Manage Session” tab. This option will not appear unless you have completed the introduction, which can be skipped from the main menu.

Once you select “Manage Session,” proceed to Session Settings and locate the Session ID on the right side. Click the “Show” button, which opens a new window. You can either copy the code to your clipboard to share with friends or manually write it down to share with them.

For your friends to join the multiplayer session, they should select “Join Game” from the main menu. If they need to join a specific session, they will require the session code, or they can join directly through a friend’s hosted game using the platform’s friends list.

It’s important to understand a crucial setting when creating a server. When starting a new game, the session type is significant. There are four types: Single Player, IP, Steam, and Epic.

Single-player is a private setting with no multiplayer access. IP sessions involve hosting your own server using a public IP, which can be complex. Neither of these session types has a multiplayer session ID. Therefore, if the ID is not available, it may indicate the incorrect session type is being used.

To invite friends seamlessly from both platforms, ensure you are using either Steam or Epic session types to utilize the multiplayer session ID.
