Logan Paul, a well-known YouTube personality who has transitioned into a professional wrestling persona with WWE, recently shared that UFC President Dana White has not responded to his request to participate in the undercard of UFC 306. This marks yet another chapter in Paul’s long-standing desire to break into the world of mixed martial arts.
Ever since 2018, Paul has sought opportunities in the UFC, often expressing a strong interest in showcasing his combat skills alongside his brother, Jake Paul. Despite boasting significant achievements in boxing, including a match against Floyd Mayweather, and building a notable career in professional wrestling, Paul still faces an uphill battle in winning over White—especially now that his beverage brand, Prime Hydration, has been named the official drink of the UFC in 2023.
Logan recounted his experience attempting to connect with Dana White during a recent episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast. Specifically, he revealed that he texted White, saying, “Hey man, consider me available to fight on the undercard in the Sphere, ” referring to UFC 306 set to take place at the Las Vegas Sphere. To his dismay, Paul claims that White “completely ignored” him, leaving Paul to speculate about the implications of such silence.

In discussing White’s apparent hesitation to engage with him, Paul hinted at a connection to the past experiences of another former WWE star, CM Punk. He speculated that White’s reluctance stems from Punk’s unsuccessful transition to the UFC, stating, “After that, Dana was like, ‘I’m never doing this again.’” Despite Punk’s wrestling acclaim, Paul believes that he possesses a stronger aptitude for MMA, given his background as a competitive high school wrestler and his current exploits in wrestling entertainment.

Paul expressed his belief that with the right fight and compensation, he could effectively enter the UFC, identifying himself primarily as an entertainer. His aspirations were further intensified during his conversation with UFC champion Tom Aspinall, who inquired whether Paul could replicate CM Punk’s journey into the octagon.
While Dana White has previously indicated openness to the idea of Paul foraying into the UFC, it seems he remains cautious, especially given the complications arising from the younger Paul sibling’s past interactions with White. As it stands, Logan’s ambitions to compete at a professional MMA level are not yet realized, prompting him to search for alternate paths within the vibrant world of combat sports.
