In League of Legends Arena mode, a new feature has been added that allows champions to critically strike their crowd control abilities, making it the first time this has been implemented in the MOBA.
The popular game League of Legends Arena will soon feature a new item that allows its user to critically strike their crowd control, resulting in a 33% extension of its duration. This innovative capability is a first for any item in the game, and it is fitting that it is being introduced in Arena, a mode known for its more arcade-like gameplay compared to the traditional offerings.
The item Force of Entropy provides 900 health, 30 ability haste, and 30% critical strike chance, making it a suitable choice for tank champions such as K’sante and Sejuani who can benefit from the added critical strike chance. Additionally, the item increases the duration of CC by a base of 0.25 seconds and then amplifies it by 33%.
This, along with the additional features available in Arena, can quickly result in unconventional and absurd constructions that defy the established norms of League of Legends.

Arena’s latest iteration will introduce a plethora of fresh additions, including a diverse array of items and augments. Additionally, a brand new arena will be introduced to accompany the return of the mode. However, some items, such as Force of Entropy, may significantly disrupt the balance of the mode, which is not intended to be as fiercely competitive as its ranked equivalent.
The introduction of this new item will provide players with the opportunity to explore different builds and tactics in order to dominate the Arena, showcasing the importance of player ingenuity as a path to success rather than relying on a predetermined meta.
Players will have the chance to test new items and more when Arena makes its comeback with the release of Patch 14.9 on May 1, 2024.
