Just when you thought the Longlegs campaign was finished, a spooky revelation has been uncovered in the horror movie that you may have overlooked.
Neon, the studio behind the highly anticipated 2024 horror film and its popular viral marketing campaign, recently released a clip revealing that the Devil appeared a staggering 15 times.
Osgood Perkins aimed to ensure that darkness was constantly present in the background, as conveyed by Nicolas Cage’s character, a serial killer, who states, “It will not only be confined within these walls…I will be present in every corner.”
Therefore, he continuously sprinkled Longlegs with fleeting glimpses of a mysterious figure, whom we have come to realize is none other than Satan.
The video, titled ‘Look Closer’, features a total of 15 examples, beginning with Maika Monroe’s character Lee Harker gazing out into the forest from her home and spotting the outline of a figure. Only four of the examples are shown in the video.
The Devil can also be seen at the library, where Harker struggles to decipher Longlegs’ messages, as well as inside the killer’s doll-making lair and lurking in her mother’s house.
Together with the video, Neon stated, “Take a thorough look. Writer-director Osgood Perkins has cleverly concealed over 15 sightings of the devil in Longlegs. Have you managed to spot them all?”
Despite being terrified, horror movie enthusiasts have been eagerly exchanging the most bone-chilling moments they witnessed, with one person stating, “The figure in the door’s reflection near the end of the film had me on edge in the cinema. This movie definitely deserves a perfect score of 10/10.”
Furthermore, someone else provided a compilation of locations associated with Satan, which included:
- Harker is reviewing evidence for the case with the American flag standing behind her right shoulder.
- At Ruth’s house, Harker stood by the kitchen door and stared at the roach on the floor through the window that overlooked the outside.
- As Harker opens the box, a photo of Longlegs can be seen in the left corner.
- During a flashback, Harker was in her bedroom at nine years old.
- As he closes the door, Agent Carter’s front door reflects the outside surroundings.
Despite the movie’s release, fans continue to be amazed by the ongoing success of the Longlegs marketing campaign. As one fan put it, “I am in awe that even after the movie’s release, the marketing team is still doing an amazing job.”
Furthermore, there are individuals who thoroughly enjoyed the film and its meticulous attention to detail. One fan expressed, “This is one aspect of the movie that I adored.”
“One person remarked, ‘The first scene of this film frightened me more than anything has in a long time.’ Another individual chimed in, ‘Now I have to watch it for a third time. I didn’t even notice those shadows. Amazing.’”
Longlegs is currently showing in movie theaters.
