In the last installment, it was revealed that Jun had encountered Rumi and Naori Jinguji, twin sisters, during their younger years. The three of them formed a strong bond and were so alike that only their mother and Jun could distinguish them.

As time went on, Jun grew closer to Naori than to Rumi. They frequently had insightful conversations about their shared love for books. This caused Rumi to feel like she was on the outside and made her realize her long-standing feelings for Jun.

At the end of their middle school years, Rumi finally mustered the courage to ask Jun out, inspired by some of her friends who had also started dating. She regretted not being able to confess her long-standing love for him, but was relieved when Jun understood and accepted her proposal.

Initially, she experienced pride, but it was quickly overshadowed by guilt for betraying Naori, as she knew of Naori’s feelings for Jun. Nevertheless, she was able to set these emotions aside and began to find joy in her relationship with Jun.

Despite her attempts to shift the blame onto Naori for not confessing her feelings to Jun, the unsettling feeling resurfaced and ultimately led her to abruptly end her relationship with Jun.

The latter part of the episode revolved around Naori, who was proud, sensitive, and well-educated. She had a sense of superiority over others, but her interactions with Jun helped her remain humble.

Despite her curiosity about Rumi and Jun’s relationship, she refrained from expressing her feelings in order to avoid causing any complications. She appeared to be her usual self on the outside, but inside she was struggling to keep her emotions hidden. She couldn’t help but wonder about the dynamics between Rumi and Jun, given their contrasting personalities.

The episode concluded with Naori sitting in her room by herself, feeling frustrated and dejected upon discovering that Rumi had ended her relationship with Jun. Meanwhile, Jun was seen still struggling to comprehend the situation.
