The last episode saw Naori, Rumi, and Jun entering high school. With the Golden Week holidays in full swing, the Shirosaki and Jinguji families decided to have a barbecue. Jun and Naori’s bond had grown even stronger.

As the men conversed about cars and technology, Naori approached Rumi and commented on how much she resembled their mother. Rumi was taken aback by this remark, especially given the recent events. It was revealed that Rumi had requested Jun to date Naori after ending their own relationship.

The scene changed to the second day of Golden Week, a few days before the barbecue. At her mother’s request, Rumi went to the Shirosaki household to check in with Jun about preparing yakisoba for the barbecue. Since Jun’s parents were going on a date, they asked Rumi to wake Jun up.

After spending a considerable amount of time gazing at Jun as he slept, Rumi ultimately made the decision to awaken him. She confessed that she did not want to terminate their relationship, but had done so solely for the sake of Naori, who harbored feelings for him. Before saying goodbye, Rumi was on the verge of kissing Jun, yet the thought of Naori held her back.

After some time, Jun invited Naori to join him for a movie at the cinema. As they strolled along the Arakawa River, Jun asked Naori if she would like to be his girlfriend. Initially, Naori declined, mentioning her mother’s caution to avoid Star Trek and Sherlock Holmes enthusiasts. However, she soon revealed she was teasing and happily accepted his invitation.

That evening, Naori informed Rumi about her relationship with Jun. Rumi congratulated her and reassured her sister that there were no lingering hard feelings between them.

Next, the scene shifted to Jun’s room, where Naori was completely absorbed in a book. Jun confessed that he found it challenging to keep up with the vast range of books and films that Naori enjoyed. Eventually, Naori requested a kiss from him.
