Bergie Bergersen shared his thoughts on Ariana Madix stepping in as the host for Love Island USA Season 6.
Ariana Madix, who is known for her role on Vanderpump Rules, took over as the host for this season of Love Island USA, replacing Sarah Hyland.
Not only have her appearances captivated her fans, Bravolebrities, and Islanders, but her iconic wardrobe and infectious high energy have also been a highlight of Season 6. Even Bergie Bergersen from Love Island USA Season 5 has taken notice.
During an interview with The Mirror US, Bergie shared his thoughts on Ariana and her role as the host of Season 6, stating that it was logical for her to be chosen after previously being a guest host on his season.
The speaker continued, stating that because Ariana is a devoted follower of Love Island, she possesses a deep understanding of the Islanders’ viewpoints from her extensive viewing experience and personal involvement in reality television.
Maura Higgens, a contestant from Love Island UK Season 5, could have been considered for Ariana’s hosting role, as she was brought in during Bergie’s season to oversee a challenge.
It was mentioned that the production team may have been “testing the water”with the two ladies. Despite ultimately selecting Ariana as the host for Love Island USA Season 6, Maura was also offered a new role as the host of Aftersun.

During the initial Aftersun episode of Love Island USA, Maura had a conversation with Coye Simmons, who was eliminated on Episode 4 when JaNa Craig chose to partner with Common Newsum.
During their conversation, Coye expressed to Maura that had he been given more time in the Villa, he believed something could have potentially formed between himself and Serena, despite his initial choice of JaNa.
Despite there being only one Islander elimination so far, the tension is high after Ariana brought in two more Bombshells during Episode 6. This has caused concern amongst some of the girls.
