Luka Doncic’s hilarious reaction to shot which sent match announcer wild

Jason Kidd, the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, along with game announcers and fans, all had epic responses to Luka Doncic’s miraculous 20-foot circus shot against the Houston Rockets on Sunday evening.

Dodging Jabari Smith Jr.’s intense defense, Doncic spun around and stepped inside the three-point line. He then smoothly executed an underhanded scoop shot from 20 feet away, scoring just over 10 minutes into the third quarter.

In the Mavericks’ 125-107 victory over the Rockets, the unlikely player added two points to his total of 47 points, leaving the NBA community in awe of yet another display of skill.

The announcing team covering the game could only exclaim, “What?”as the shot went in.

Doncic attributed his ability to handle the basketball in such a manner to his past experience as a bartender during his youth, after the game.

“Doncic stated that he was a bartender when he was younger, so he was accustomed to the feeling. He confidently believed that the shot was going to go in.”

Mavericks coach Jason Kidd praised the Slovenian point guard’s talent for making difficult shots, comparing him to a famous artist.

“According to Kidd, his franchise point guard is like Picasso with a paintbrush. He was in awe of the special shot that was made.”

Fans playfully teased about the simplicity with which Doncic made the shot. One Twitter user likened his performance to that of a child on the playground, while another called it “disrespectful.”A third fan was quick to anoint him as this season’s MVP.

The victory propelled the Mavericks to the fifth spot in the western conference and solidified their hold on a spot in the playoffs. Doncic and his team will head to San Francisco on Tuesday to take on the Golden State Warriors, in hopes of extending their winning streak to eight games.
