A TikToker is gathering support to gather funds for a Lyft driver whose car experienced rain during a ride because of a malfunctioning sunroof.
Despite booking a trip through Lyft, TikToker ‘duseeeee44’ encountered a problem when the driver’s sunroof was broken. Despite the driver’s efforts to seal it with plastic bags, she still needed a ride to work.
Despite it not being a problem on any other day, heavy rain began during the drive, causing everyone in the car to become soaked.
The TikToker shared in her viral video how her Lyft driver picked her up not realizing that their car did not have a moonroof, and then it started raining heavily while they were on the highway.
The speaker pointed out that the driver was deeply upset about the incident, sharing, “I had to console her as she was in tears. I felt terrible because times are tough.”

In the description of the GoFundMe, the daughter shared, “As many have seen, my Mom Jen has gone viral after her car’s sunroof flew off unexpectedly. Though there is a backstory, she had only been driving the car for 3 weeks before this happened.”The daughter had also linked the GoFundMe on her TikTok account under the username duseeeee44.
“Currently, she is unable to work and this is her only source of income. Once the necessary repairs are completed, she will be able to resume working. According to the daughter, the issue has been reported and they are awaiting pictures and updates on the status of the sunroof repair.”
Despite not receiving an overwhelming amount, the Lyft driver has received over $100 in donations. However, there has been an outpouring of support and prayers from numerous viewers.
