In the past few weeks, SEVENTEEN concluded their promotion for the lead single “Maestro” from their newest album “17 Is Right Here” with their final performance on Inkigayo. During their promotional period, “Maestro” achieved four music show victories. Additionally, the million-selling boy group continued to break sales records, selling almost 3 million copies in the first week and reaching No.5 on the Billboard 200 chart.
SEVENTEEN’s hard work has contributed to their increasing popularity with each comeback. Most recently, Mingyu from the group has gained attention online for his impressive visuals and fit physique.
During the Inkigayo goodbye stage for “Maestro” , Mingyu’s moment of lying down on the stage floor after giving his all in the performance has been causing a stir. He poured 200% of his energy into the performance, making it unforgettable.
Immediately following the conclusion of the performance, Mingyu fell to the ground in exhaustion. This was no surprise as SEVENTEEN’s choreography is consistently known for its difficulty and complexity. The 13 members continuously challenge themselves, pushing the boundaries even further with each new comeback. The dance for “Maestro”is particularly physically demanding from the very beginning, with the dance break including intricate footwork that requires exceptional skill.
After greeting the audience, the entire group of 12 members proceeded backstage without waiting for Mingyu, who was left alone lying on stage. Mingyu soon realized he had been left behind and quickly exited the stage with a mixture of embarrassment and humor on his face.
This particular instance, witnessed by fans of SEVENTEEN, had them torn between feeling sympathetic or amused. It is a common occurrence for Mingyu to be the target of the group’s pranks. To those who are not familiar with the group, Mingyu is seen as the epitome of a heartthrob. However, to their fans, seeing Mingyu being playfully teased is a familiar sight. He takes it all in stride, never showing any signs of annoyance. Mingyu’s laid-back and playful nature is a complete contrast to his suave and charismatic stage image.
