Madden 25: New Franchise Mode & Customization Changes

According to the developers, Madden 25 Franchise Mode will undergo several significant changes, including the addition of a simplified screen for managing prospects and the inclusion of the commissioner, Roger Goodell.

As the start of early access approaches in two weeks, there has been a noticeable lack of news on the Madden 25 front. However, that is starting to shift.

This week, EA Sports began revealing player ratings. Additionally, on July 31, the Madden developers provided a breakdown of what can be expected in Franchise Mode.

The changes encompass a plethora of customization options, a more efficient hub, and fresh storylines.

Draft Night and Organization Among Franchise Changes

During the previously mentioned developer deep dive, Josh Looman, the lead designer for Franchise Mode, discussed the upcoming immersion and customization updates for Madden 25. These updates include over 80 coach and player likenesses to choose from, as well as more than 25 create-a-player head options. Furthermore, the popular College Football 25 feature, Team Builder, will also be available in Madden.

In Franchise Mode, players have the ability to upload logos, design stadiums and uniforms, and build rosters. This function allows for the creation of up to 32 teams.

At this platform, users will have access to “all the essential information right at their fingertips.”This includes convenient access to standings and upcoming games, as well as a personal messaging system. Within the organization, members can also offer recommendations to the user, such as whether to list a particular player on the trading block.

Instead of accessing the player card to view athletic grades, all of this information will now be organized into a spreadsheet. As a result, Franchise players can easily compare 40-man dash numbers and ratings for the entire prospect pool.

The Madden team emphasized the importance of immersion during development, stating that players must manage characters and managers must fulfill their promises in the game’s dynamic storylines. By successfully navigating personalities and meeting expectations, players can earn rewards and boosts.

In Madden 25, the developers have made significant changes to the storyline feature. The revamped system now offers a wider range of options and introduces a risk-reward aspect. This includes the ability to communicate with coordinators, effectively managing a breakout player, and selecting the challenge difficulty level.

Additionally, the developers aimed to provide individuals with the opportunity to replicate the success of Isiah Pacheco and Puka Nacua. As a result, there will be extended storylines that require consistent achievements to sustain momentum. By doing so, these breakout players have the potential to become game-changing X-Factors.

The revamped NFL Draft night experience includes several changes. This includes the addition of a new draft board that updates in real-time and features Roger Goodell. Additionally, the contract re-signing logic has been fine-tuned and “less prophetic”mock drafts will also be included in Franchise Mode.

The release date for Madden 25 is set for August 16, 2024, and early access will commence on August 13.
