On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, the release date for the upcoming television anime series of Magilumiere was officially announced by the staff. The anime is set to premiere on Friday, October 4, 2024 in Japan. Along with this news, the second key visual for the series was revealed and the opening theme song artist was confirmed.
Although there was no trailer released in the latest batch of Magilumiere anime news, fans can anticipate the release of the anime’s second promotional video in the near future. This is only the third batch of news from the staff, indicating that there will likely be more significant announcements leading up to the series’ premiere.
Release Date for Magilumiere Anime in Japan Announced, No News on International Streaming
As previously stated, the highly anticipated Magilumiere anime will make its debut in Japan on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11PM JST on NTV’s “Friday Anime Night” block. It has been officially announced that Mafumafu will provide the opening theme song, titled “Order Made” or alternatively “Made to Order.” At the time of writing this article, there has been no information released about the ending theme song.
The recently revealed key visual for the series showcases Kana Sakuragi, Hitomi Koshigaya, Koji Shigemoto, Kazuo Nikoyama, and Kaede Midorikawa, who have been previously introduced. Fairouz Ai, Yumiri Hanamori, Rikiya Koyama, Daiki Yamashita, and Ryota Ohsaka have been confirmed to voice these characters. It is expected that further cast members will be announced in the upcoming weeks leading up to the show’s debut on television.
The anime at Moe and J.C. Staff is being directed by Masahiro Hiraoka, with Shingo Nagai overseeing and writing the series scripts. The characters are being designed by Hidehiro Asama, while Makoto Miyazaki is composing the music and Masafumi Mima is in charge of sound production. It is anticipated that more staff members will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
The television series Magilumiere is a faithful adaptation of the manga series by Sekka Iwata and Yu Aoki, originally published by Magilumiere Co. Ltd. The manga debuted on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital platform in October 2021 and is currently ongoing. So far, 105 out of 122 chapters have been compiled into 12 volumes, with the 13th and 14th volumes set to be released on September 4 and October 4, 2024.
Out of the 12 volumes that have been released so far, only 3 have been translated into English. However, a fourth volume is set to be released in October 2024. The English versions of the series are published by Viz Media and MANGA Plus, who provide a synopsis of the story:
