Major Clash of Clans Update: February 2025 Patch Overview After Thirteen Years of Gameplay Changes

Clash of Clans has captivated gamers for nearly a decade, and recent updates from Supercell have sparked excitement among its dedicated community. A significant quality-of-life improvement allows players to clear obstacles even when no builders are available. This seemingly minor adjustment could have resulted in countless Gems over the years if implemented earlier. Beyond this pivotal enhancement, February brought a wealth of new features, troop upgrades, and game adjustments that we will explore in detail.

February 2025 Patch Highlights for Clash of Clans

Clearing Obstacles Without a Builder

In addition to the ability to clear obstacles without a builder, players can now enhance their wall-building experience. The new wall selection feature allows for simultaneous upgrades to multiple walls of the same level, which is invaluable considering the skyrocketing costs of higher-level walls. Now players can prioritize and upgrade walls in a more strategic manner.

Moreover, this update introduces substantial discounts across numerous in-game shops—excluding wall upgrades. Essential items such as potions will now require fewer Gems, and prices in the Clan War League store will also see reductions, allowing players to make more advantageous purchases.

For those with Town Hall 14 and above, there are exciting boosts to resource capacities: Gold and Elixir can now reach a maximum of 28, 000, 000, while Dark Elixir capacity increases to 460, 000. Players will also benefit from various time reductions, which are likely a continuation of the successful strategies introduced in last year’s major update aimed at improving player progression—especially for newcomers.

Introducing the Troop Launcher, a versatile new siege machine available from Workshop level 8. This powerful machine can deploy a Giant, Barbarians, Archers, and Wall Breakers on enemy defenses, culminating in a barrage of up to seven attacks at maximum level.

Additionally, players can merge a geared-up Cannon and an Archer Tower to form the Multi-Gear Tower, which can further be upgraded to level 2 after merging.

A noteworthy enhancement includes the Minion Prince receiving a new defensive equipment option, the Metal Pants. This upgrade bolsters its fragile nature, although the Minion Prince typically serves as an offensive unit alongside supportive troops like Balloons and Dragons, making this enhancement a strategic asset during battles.

Players will also be able to unlock the Alchemist at Town Hall 11 via the Helper Hut, requiring 100 Gems. This new character facilitates resource conversion, offering bonuses such as converting 1, 500, 000 Elixir into 1, 515, 000 Gold, showcasing a 1% conversion benefit. This conversion bonus can be incrementally upgraded up to 10% with further Gem investments.

Furthermore, several troops are receiving notable upgrades:

  • Archer level cap increased to 13.
  • Healer advances to level 10 (hero healing improvements only).
  • P. E.K. K.A now reaches level 12.
  • Miner upgraded to level 11.
  • Bowler level cap is now level 9.
  • Poison Spell advances to level 12.
  • Haste Spell rises to level 6.

In terms of defense enhancements, players can look forward to:

  • Mortar upgraded to level 17.
  • Scattershot elevated to level 6.
  • X-Bow can now reach level 12 (includes Supercharge levels).
  • Hidden Tesla improved to level 16.

Overall, these sweeping changes are overwhelmingly positive for the community, providing a wealth of new features and upgrades at no additional cost. Kudos to Supercell for enhancing their game.
