There are rumors that popular anime series such as My Dress-up Darling and Bocchi the Rock, produced by CloverWorks, may be renewed for second seasons. Additionally, there are rumors that several Korean manhwas might be adapted into Japanese anime, which could lead to heightened investment in production resources.
Certain animation studios have already outlined their production schedules for 2028-29. Studio Mother is reportedly developing a new Yuri anime, while Studio Khara is also preparing an upcoming project. Along with Ranma 1/2, there are plans for another 20 remakes of classic anime series.
