As of now, specific plot details remain under wraps, but it is confirmed that the story will unfold during World War II. Knight has previously indicated that the narrative will weave in “three true stories” from the conflict, highlighting previously unknown perspectives from that time. Additionally, the film is expected to present a redemption arc for Tommy Shelby, with Knight asserting that his goal has always been to portray him as a genuinely good man by the film’s conclusion.
In Knight’s words, “I intend to redeem him so that, in the end, he’s genuinely a good man doing good things.” While Shelby has engaged in and commanded morally ambiguous actions, Season 6 portrays his increasing resistance against the rising tide of fascism leading into World War II. This transformation offers a compelling backdrop for heroism and redemption, linking back to the character’s trauma from World War I.
As fans eagerly await the release of The Immortal Man, it is clear that this installment promises to enrich the Peaky Blinders legacy while exploring deeper themes of morality and redemption.
