The YouTube release of a program featuring veteran comedian Park Myung-soo and aespa’s Winter has garnered significant attention.
Park Myung-soo is featured in this video cosplaying as the idol-actor Cha Eunwoo and playfully interacting with Winter as if he were actually Cha Eunwoo.
In the last part of the video, Winter asks Park Myung-soo if looks are the most important factor. They then lean their heads together and turn towards the camera. A caption reading “Eunsoo and Min-jeong’s Secret Story”(which is a combination of Park Myung-soo’s nickname “Myung-soo”and Winter’s real name “Eunwoo”) appears, hinting at more intimate moments between the two.
Despite the 30-year age difference between Winter and Park Myung-soo, the scene caused discomfort among many fans. Adding to the controversy are Park Myung-soo’s previous comments about Winter, which only adds to the tension.
Specifically, Park Myung-soo has previously complimented Winter as the most stunning idol and referred to her as “otherworldly”. Furthermore, the comedian shared that he and his wife had a disagreement over his admiration for Winter’s beauty.

As a result, many fans began to accuse Park Myung-soo of using the new show as an opportunity to fulfill his fantasy with Winter, as the teaser featuring the two hinted at romantic undertones.
As Winter’s fans began to express their discomfort on social media, comments labeling Park Myung-soo as “strange”and “unsettling”also flooded in.
