On July 10, Hwasa has been reported to the police by the Student Parents and Human Rights Protection Solidarity for “public indecency.”
According to sources, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul received a complaint from the Student Parents and Human Rights Protection Solidarity, starting an investigation on the matter.
In their statement, the Student Parents and Human Rights Protection Solidarity has accused Hwasa of bringing an uncomfortable and shameful viewing experience to audiences. They also mentioned how the gesture wasn’t contextually suitable and necessary for the choreography.
“Hwasa made a gesture suggesting a perverted sexual nuance, and an act that was sufficient enough to embarrass, as well as shame the viewers who were watching her performance.”
“Hwasa’s gesture cannot be interpreted as art, since the gesture doesn’t match the choreography’s context.”
This led the Seongdong Police authorities to follow up a brief statement, announcing that if ever it was necessary, they may contact Hwasa regarding the matter.
“After reviewing the case, we are planning to call the accused if ever necessary.”
Meanwhile, Hwasa’s current agency P Nation has released their own take, stating that they are taking measures regarding the issue.
“We are internally investigating the facts of the incident.”
