JTBC’s ‘Incident Chief’ broadcasted on the 17th, exposing the sexual assault case of Ms. B at the residence of Mr. A, the director of an acting academy, which occurred in October of last year.
According to reports, during the incident, Mr. A was contacted by his students, including Ms. B, who offered to give him a birthday present. He invited them to his home and provided them with alcohol. Later, he sent the other students home, stating that he needed to speak with Ms. B alone. While they were alone at his home, Mr. A took advantage of the fact that he was behind on three months’ worth of tuition and offered to waive it if Ms. B engaged in sexual activity with him. It is reported that he then sexually assaulted her.
The host, Yang Won-bo, disclosed that the father of victim B had personally reported the case to ‘Incident Chief’ and had expressed his anger when he contacted us.
B’s father clarified that the acting academy was one of the only ones in the area and that it attracted many students due to its association with renowned actors, including Representative A. Attorney Yang Ji-yeol also mentioned that Mr. A was a well-respected and award-winning actor who had made numerous TV appearances, making his face recognizable to many.
A video, allegedly filmed after the sexual assault, was made public. In the video, Mr. A can be seen kneeling and apologizing while wearing only his underwear. He can be heard saying, “I’m sorry. I loved you,” “I misunderstood, I’m sorry,” “Can’t you understand me?” and “Can’t you just forgive me this once?” After hearing Mr. A’s words, Ms. B cried out, “Please stop.” She then expressed her disappointment, saying, “I thought you were a real teacher.” Despite Ms. B’s attempts to clarify the situation by repeating herself, Mr. A did not seem to understand, causing her to plead, “Please wake up.”
After viewing the video, Ms. B’s father contacted Mr. A and, according to reports, Mr. A apologized during their conversation, saying, “I’m sorry. How can I make it up to you?”
Despite his previous stance, Mr. A has now recanted his position and refuted the accusations of sexual assault, stating that “there was no sexual intercourse.”In regards to the mentioned video, he clarified, “There were multiple conflicting circumstances.”
Person A is currently evading detention despite facing charges of rape and other violations of the Youth Sexual Protection Act. Reports indicate that he managed to escape arrest and is currently employed as a teacher at an academy, potentially putting children at risk.
