If you encounter a “Recruits Missing”message, it may hinder your ability to strengthen your military forces. Here are the steps to resolve this issue.

Troubleshooting Recruits Missing in Manor Lords

To resolve the issue of “Recruits Missing”in Manor Lords, you must boost the population of your settlement by attracting more families. Families are the most effective method of obtaining new recruits, as they typically send at least one individual to join the army.

To allow additional families to join your settlement, it is necessary to ensure that there is sufficient space available in your Burgage Plots and maintain an approval rating of at least 50% (this rating will rise as long as the needs of your current villagers are being fulfilled.) Once you have an approval rating of 50% or higher, one family will join your settlement every month. If your approval rating reaches 75%, you will have the opportunity to welcome two families per month.

If you’re having difficulty increasing your Retinue numbers, you have the option to hire current military recruits into your Retinue instead. To do so, follow the steps outlined below:

Click on the Army tab and navigate to the Retinue option.
Click on the Brush button, and then select the Recruit Men-at-Arms button located on the left side of the screen.
From here, you can select new Retinue recruits and hire or rehire them for a cost of 50 Treasury each.

After gathering a sufficient number of recruits from the most recent families in your settlement, the issue with the “Recruits Missing”message should be resolved. However, if it persists, we suggest saving and reloading the game.
