Man’s security system stays active after tornado tears through home

Despite a tornado ravaging a man’s home, his security system remained functional but rendered ineffective due to the disaster’s destruction of his house and surrounding area.

On Friday, April 26, a destructive tornado struck Omaha, Nebraska, causing widespread damage. The National Weather Service released their first official report on the storm, which had been documented by a local news source, WOWT. According to survivor Bryce, who shared his experience on TikTok, the tornado reached wind speeds of 135 to 165 MPH and left a trail of destruction in its path, including his own home.

Despite the devastation, Bryce was determined to share how his Vivint security system remained active and intact, even when his home was torn apart. He wanted to demonstrate to his viewers that the system was still functioning, even though it was rendered useless in the aftermath.

The security system notified Bryce that the patio door was open. He sarcastically exclaimed, “Great, the patio door is open,”as he recorded the destruction of his home.

Despite praising Vivint in his popular TikTok video, which has now gained 18.8M views and counting, Bryce’s viewers in the comments couldn’t resist making jokes about their messy rooms. Many of them joked that their parents had always compared their untidy rooms to a “tornado,”but even that couldn’t compare to Bryce’s situation.

“Bryce was also questioned by numerous individuals in the comments about why he had not removed the plastic from his Vivint security system. In response, he posted another TikTok video of himself peeling off the plastic. As he removed it, Bryce encouraged viewers to feel satisfied.”

Despite the destruction of Bryce’s home, many people have noted that he remains in “good spirits.”As of now, he has not provided any updates on his plans for rebuilding to his viewers.
