The original anime Zenshu is set to make its premiere in January 2025, following an exciting announcement made through a trailer on October 19, 2024. This trailer provided fans a sneak peek at the unique visual style that will characterize the series.

Distinct from typical anime releases, Zenshu is a wholly original creation crafted by the renowned studio MAPPA. Due to the studio’s esteemed reputation, expectations are soaring among both anime enthusiasts and the wider manga community. Additionally, the teaser has introduced the primary cast and production staff behind the anime.

MAPPA’s Zenshu to Launch in January 2025

As reiterated, Zenshu is scheduled to debut in January 2025, as indicated in the latest trailer released on October 19, 2024. The video opens with Luke Braveheart, a prominent character from Hirose’s film, depicted bravely facing off against a towering monster. It alludes to him being part of a coalition of fighters dedicated to a noble cause. Viewers are treated to a brief montage showcasing his intense confrontations.

Although he presents himself as a battle-hardened warrior, Luke endures the pain of having lost his comrades and witnesses the demise of those he holds dear. This tragedy has seemingly taken a toll on him, all while ominous entities known as Voids multiply. A sense of hopelessness envelops him as he collapses to the ground, grasping at his hair. The trailer made its debut at New York Comic Con, and fans can look forward to watching episodes on Crunchyroll.

Zenshu: Key Cast, Crew, and Premise

Kazuki Ura will portray the voice of Luke Braveheart, while Anna Nagaase lends her voice to Natsuko Hirose. Additional characters include Rie Kugiyama voicing Unio, and Minori Suzuki as Memmeln. The voice cast is further enriched by Romi Park as Justice, Manaka Iwami as Destiny Heartwarming, Kentaro Tone as Chingosman, Masashi Yamane as Ganger, Katsuhisa Hoki as Captain, and Sayaka Ohara as the Admiral.

The directorial helm of the anime will be managed by Yamasaki at MAPPA, with Ueno penning the script. Music composition will be handled by Yukari Hashimoto, while Shuuji Takahara, Kazuko Hayakawa, and Etsuko Sumimoto join forces as the chief animators for the project.

The narrative revolves around Natsuko Hirose, an enthusiastic animator whose latest project skyrockets her into fame. Recognized for her talent, she takes on a romantic comedy that delves into the dynamics of first love—an area she has never personally experienced. This lack of experience leads her to struggle with the intricacies of her story, thereby stalling the entire production.
