Despite being initially matched with Lauren Funn on Season 11 of Married at First Sight Australia, Jono McCoullough’s relationship status surprised fans when he announced that he was now romantically involved with fellow contestant Ellie Dix.
At the Season 11 reunion, the couple revealed their relationship status following a cheating scandal that led to Jono ending things with Lauren.
Despite secretly communicating with each other during the final commitment ceremony, Ellie and Jono insisted that they were just friends.
“Ellie took to Instagram to express her shock, writing, “Surprise! I’m sure no one saw this coming,”in response to the reunion episode that just aired.”
Fans of Married at First Sight were quick to respond to the surprising relationship news from Ellie and Jono on Reddit, expressing their disapproval with this unexpected turn of events.
One fan commented, “It’s very suspicious. If Jono is truly innocent, why didn’t he inform Lauren about his communication with Ellie?”
